Shauna DeMara

Shauna DeMara, L.Ac., Dipl. OM., is a licensed acupuncturist and nationally board certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology. She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she holds a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM). During her four-year Master’s program she completed over 3,000 hours of study in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, biomedicine, anatomy and physiology, nutrition pharmacology, and pathophysiology. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, one of the nation’s most rigorous academic programs in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

She has been working in the health care field for over 18 years and has extensive knowledge on how to personalize treatments to maximize health benefits. She has continued her studies by doing a hospital rotation at Good Samaritan in West Palm Beach Fl. to help further integrate Western and Eastern Medicine and has used this to work in close affiliation with both NorthWestern Fertility and Integrative Centers and Fertility Center of Illinois. Her passion is Fertility, Women's Health, Weight Loss and Stress Relief. Her main goal is to help people realize how simple it is to feel well in every day life.

She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Illinois and also a member of several acupuncture associations, including, The Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ILAAOM) and The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
